"This song is about, um… actually very randomly, the story of it—I was with a girl for uh…four years, who most of the albums…or all of the albums are about—and um…apart from obviously like, The A Team and Small Bump and..but….I saw her at Christmas and and she was just like ‘You need to just tell your fans to stop messaging me on Facebook’ [laughs] …they all just find her and just message her. They’re just like ‘Oh, it’s so nice you got the album written about you!’ And I was just a bit like..hmm, I think she’s a bit freaked out. Yeah, and…she gave me a little Lego model when I was about 18 and we put it together and then when we broke up, and I was kind of clearing my stuff, it fell on the floor and kind of smashed apart, and I was kind of like ‘Well that’s kind of like our relationship!’ Because I spent quite a while putting that together, and then it broke apart in an instant. And the relationship…we spent a long time putting together and then it breaks apart and you have to piece it back together again. So that’s where the initial kind of…the original demo was all about a Lego man…like ‘We’re gonna pick up the pieces and build a Lego house/if things go wrong we can knock it down/We’ll have three plastic children…’ …so yeah, but I changed it, ‘cos it was a bit weird [laughs]…"
